Creating a Recorder Profile

Project administrators can create recorder profiles to save recording preferences and assign these preferences to tasks in a project. Recorder profiles ensure that task owners are using the recording preferences assigned by the project administrator.

1. Click the Projects buttonon the navigation bar of the Management Center.
2. Click on the project name where the Recorder profile is/will be located.
3. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the action button.
4. Click Recorder Profiles under Actions on the left menu.
5. Choose from the following options:

   If You Want To	Then
   Create a Recorder profile	Click New Recorder Profile under Actions on the left menu. Go to the next step.
   Edit a Recorder profile	Click on the Recorder profile name you want to edit. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the action button. Click Edit Properties under Actions on the left menu. Go to the next step.
   Delete a Recorder profile	Click on the Recorder profile name you want to delete. Click Delete Recorder Profile under Actions on the left menu. Click OKDelete.

6. Complete/edit the following fields:

   Field	Description
   Name	Enter a name for the Recorder profile.
   Always use desktop screen shot in the Document Editor	Select this option to display the entire desktop screen shot in the document.
   Always use desktop screen shot in the Simulation Editor	Select this option to display the entire desktop screen shot in the simulation.
   Enable interaction with SAP Scripting (for SAP windows GUI context-sensitive help)	Select this option to to capture SAP GUI information for context-sensitive help.
   Recorder HTML capture mode	Select an HTML capture mode to use when recording in a browser from the drop-down list.
   Screen percent differential	Select a screen percent differential from the drop-down list. Refer to Using The Screen Percent Differential Feature in the companion manual Creating Content for more information.
   Enable target recognition	Select this option to capture screen regions, titles, and context-sensitive help data that is specific to the target application.
   Use only image processing for control recognition	Select this option to capture control information when it is known that the target is not captured well by a plug-in.
   Capture typing text mode	Select Entire value to capture all characters in a field after the user exits the field. Select Typed characters to monitor the captured characters as they are typed in the field.
   Screen shot capture delay (msec)	Enter the amount of delay for the screen shot capture.
   Audio quality	Select the audio quality from the drop-down list.

7. Click OKSave.
