Custom messages can be created to override a standard Help Launchpad error message. Use custom messages to customize the appearance of Help Launchpad to meet your company standards.
Although you can create a "global" message, it will not be used until the custom messaging system option is activated. Also, if a "server-specific" message was created, the server message will override the "global" message. Lastly, if the Reroute user to URL option is specified at the server-level, users will be forwarded to the designated URL under certain conditions (for example, if the transaction is not documented with custom help).
There are three basic steps to working with custom messages:
- Create a custom global or server-specific system message
- Upload and download messages
- Activate and deactivate custom messages
