The following table outlines some typical environments and scenarios encountered by companies deploying Help Launchpad. Review this table to determine the most appropriate launch method for your situation.
ANCILE recommends using the Context-Sensitive Help Connections profile available with ANCILE uPerform to provide stay-on-top functionality versus the ActiveX solution for uPerform version 4.1 and later. For more information on how to set up the Context-Sensitive Help Connections profile, refer to the Setting Up Context-Sensitive Help section in the Managing Contentmanual.

I have users who are using the HTML SAP GUI or are accessing SAP from a non-Windows computer. |
Due to browser security routines and the fact that browsers prevent the running of executables, any user initiating custom help from the HTML SAP GUI will be launching help in accordance with the Browser (controlled) setting, regardless of the help server start options you have specified. If a help server is specified to launch the VB application, all users using the standard SAP GUI will be launched in this manner. All HTML or non-Windows operating systems are launched according to the Browser (controlled) settings. If ActiveX is selected and a valid look up file is staged for the installation of the control, Windows users will be prompted to install and receive help in a stay-on-top window. Non-Windows users will receive the help content in a non-stay-on-top window that resizes in accordance with the Browser (controlled) settings. |
I want stay-on-top, but my network response time is slow. |
