Working with Complex Transactions

Context-sensitive help typically displays help based on the SAP transaction code. Within a given transaction, there may be several unique tasks that the user may select. Usually, these choices are displayed in an intermediate or page.

However, some transactions may provide dozens of possible help documents from which to select. In these situations, it may be more desirable to provide specific help to the user based on the screen the user is displaying. To provide this screen-level help, the following basic steps are required:

1. Create a screen information server.
2. Capture screen information and designate the uPerform server.

Creating a Screen Information Server

1. Start the transaction using transaction code /n/RWD/ZF0.
2. Click Server Setup.
3. Toggle the button below WORK WITH INDIVIDUAL SERVERS to display uPerform.
4. As required, complete/review the following field:
   

   Field	Description
   Server	Description of the screen information server Example: Screen Info

5. Click Create Server.
6. Click .
7. Select the launch tab.
8. Click Screen Information (no browser).
9. Perform one of the following:

   If You Want To	Then
   Capture the standard information used to request help for a specific screen	Select basic information.
   Capture the system structure for a particular screen for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes	Select syst structure.
   Capture the help_info structure for a particular screen for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes	Select help_info structure.

10. Click Save Settings.
11. Click .

Capturing and Using Screen Information

1. Start the transaction using the desired transaction code, and navigate to the desired screen.
2. Select HELP > CUSTOM SETUP.
3. Specify the screen information server in the Help Server.
4. Click .
5. Select HELP > CUSTOM HELP.
6. If it is not selected, click the checkbox next to uPerform Srvr.
7. Enter the name of the uPerform screen information server.
8. Click Clip & File1.
9. Click .
