- Navigate to the location where you downloaded the Help Launchpad .zip files.

This configuration should be done before making the executable and other Help Launchpad files accessible to all users either from a general network location or by loading it onto all users' computers. Refer Help Launchpad Installation Steps to for a list of the files that should be copied to a network location or users' computers. |
2. Locate the rwdhlp.exe file.
3. Double-click on the rwdhlp.exe file.
4. As required, complete the following fields:

Launch Application |
Specifies the application used to view the help files. You may choose from the drop-down list or type in the name of the executable with its extension. Default Browser - select this option to launch the help file within the Windows default web browser. Associated Application - select this option to launch the help file via the associated Windows program (for example, a file with a .pdf extension would launch Adobe Acrobat Reader). Type in the program's full file path - to launch all files with a specific program in a specified location. |
Stay on Top |
Select to specify the help application should stay on top of other windows on the desktop, even though other applications may have the operating system focus. Once opened and on top, the window can be maximized, minimized, resized, and closed. |
Open New Window |
Select to open the help file in a new application window each time the help is selected. If this option is not selected, the help topic will be opened in a previous window if launched. If the last window opened by Help Launchpad has been terminated, the help file will be launched in a new application window. Internet Explorer settings (for example, "Reuse windows to launch shortcuts") will take precedence over any external settings, such as stay-on-top. |
Size |
Sets the units, width, and height of the help application window. Set the value to one of three options: Pixels - Set the application width and height to a specific value in pixels. Percent - Set the application width and height to a percentage of the user's screen (1-100). Default - Open the application to its last width and height as set by the user. Default refers to the latest instance (position and size) of the application set by the user, not the latest instance of the application when called directly by Help Launchpad. |
Width |
Set the desired width in pixels or percent as specified in the Size field. This field is active only when Pixels or Percent is selected. |
Height |
Set the desired height in pixels or percent as specified in the Size field. This field is active only when Pixels or Percent is selected. |
Position |
Set the help application window position on the desktop. Values are in pixels starting at (0,0) in the top left corner of the screen. Set the value to one of five options: Left - Sets the top and left to zero. Right - Sets the top to zero and justifies the application to the right side of the screen. Center - Sets the application to the center of the screen. Specified - Sets the application to the location specified by top and left. Default - Open the application to its last position as set by the user. Default refers to the latest instance (position and size) of the application set by the user, not the latest instance of the application when called directly by Help Launchpad. |
Top |
Set the top pixel value. This field is active only when Specified is selected. |
Left |
Set the left pixel value. This field is active only when Specified is selected. |
Debug Mode |
Select to display processing information and actions while Help Launchpad is running. This mode is used to assist in diagnostics and troubleshooting. |
Show Splash Screen |
Select to display the Help Launchpad splash screen for two seconds before launching the help application. |
Timeout (seconds) |
Specify a time, after which, Help Launchpad will end if unable to open an application with a help file and position the application. |

7. Copy the updated rwdhlp.exe to the desired network location or to all user’s computers.
