The ANCILE Help Launchpad product consists of two distinct pieces:
- An SAP ABAP transport
- A stay-on-top control that is a Microsoft® Windows executable (rwdhlp.exe)
The ABAP code determines where in the application the user is located, packages the appropriate URL, and calls the stay-on-top control. To install the ABAP add-on to enable Help Launchpad, refer to the SAP documentation on how to install an ABAP add-on or refer to SAP note 848560.
If you are planning to install the ABAP add-on using the SAINT transaction, refer to the latest SAP notes related to your specific SAP release for the SAINT transaction.
Additional information on the ABAP transport can be found in the ANCILE Help Launchpad Installation and Setup white paper.
A person with Basis experience should transport the required files into the SAP R/3 system. As transport procedures vary with individual companies, contact your company’s IT department for further information.
The Windows executable (rwdhlp.exe) is a Visual Basic application that was designed to work best on Windows 3.1 and Windows XP platforms using Internet Explorer 5.0 or lower. It provides the browser size, position, and stay-on-top function. The executable file must be accessible to everyone who is going to use the Context-Sensitive Help functionality through SAP. This executable is not used in the development of help files or in uploading them into SAP. The executable may be installed on a Microsoft Windows network server that is universally accessible, or locally on all users’ computers.
Refer to for information on customizing the executable prior to installation on a network server or a user’s computer.
