For Form-Based authentication,the system administrator typically provides authors and project administrators with an account and access rights to the Server. For Windows Authentication Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, user accounts are created automatically when the user first logs onto the Server according to the authentication rules set up by the administrator.
For detailed instructions on creating users, refer to Managing Users, Roles, and Groups.
Logging Into the Server
- Enter your Server URL in your web browser Address field to display the user login window.
NOTE:
If you are using Windows Authentication Single Sign-On (SSO), you must enable uPerform as a trusted site in your web browser via the browser security options menu in order to display the uPerform website.
- Complete the following fields:

If you have logged in previously using SSO, you will be prompted to enter your user information through your chosen authentication method.

Username
If you are using form-based authentication, enter your user name for the Management Center.
Password
If you are using form-based authentication, enter your password for the Management Center.
Forgot password
- Click this link to reset your password.
- Enter your Email.
- Click Reset password.
NOTE: An email will be sent to you containing a link to reset your password. This link expires in 15 minutes.
- Navigate to the email message.
- Click Set new password.
- Enter a New password.
- Re-enter the new password in the Confirm new password field.
- Click Reset password.
- Enter the Username and Password again.
- Perform one of the following actions:

Log into the Server using form-based authentication
Click Sign in.
Log into the Server using SSO authentication
- Click the Sign in button that corresponds to your authentication method.
NOTE: Only authentication methods that are turned on will display. Refer to Introduction to Configuring Authentication Types for more information on the available authentication types.
- Enter your username and password in your authentication method.
NOTE: You will only be prompted to enter your username and password if your browser was closed since your last login.
NOTE:
If you get locked out of your account, refer to Configure Form-Based Authentication Method for more information on how this is set.
- Click the Sign in button that corresponds to your authentication method.
- If you are logging into the Server for the first time, complete the following fields:
NOTE:
The user's time zone and locale are set automatically based on the user's browser settings. The user's locale is set based on the user's browser language setting for displaying pages. If the browser settings do not match the available Server settings, the user will be prompted to set the time zone and/or locale.

Time Zone
Select your time zone from the drop-down list to ensure the correct date and time display on objects within the Server.
Language
Select a language from the drop-down list to ensure the desired interface language displays when you are working in the Server.
NOTE:
The end user website can be viewed in Arabic; however, Arabic is not available for the author and administrator portions of the website.
