Project administrators can create and assign tasks using the ServerManagement Center. Tasks can only be assigned to users within the Management Center. Tasks provide a detailed description of what has been assigned to you for a given project. The task list displays your assigned tasks. The Editor workspace allows you to view, open, and check in tasks from the Task List.

Viewing Your Task List
The Task List includes the name of the task, content type, task type, the language associated to the task, and due date. If a description for the task was included, you can view the description by clicking the down arrow to the right of the task name. Tasks also can be viewed from the homeDashboard page of the ServerManagement Center via the My Tasks widget or within the project via the My Projects widget. Refer to Introduction To The Management Center for more information.
- Open the Editor.
- Select .
- If you want to open a task, select the task and click Open.

Opening Tasks from the Email Notification
When a project administrator assigns a task you will receive an email notification that includes the task name, language, description, due date, and a link to open the task.
- Open the email notification.
- Click the link to start the task.
- Click Open.
Importing a Task
You can import a task from your local computer. Importing a task may be necessary when saving a task from the Server, task notification email, or when receiving a task file from another user.
- Open the Editor.
- Select .
- Click Import Task.
- Navigate to the .utask file on your local computer and click Open.

Changing the Task Due Date
- Open the Editor.
- Select .
- Select a task from the Task List.
- Click Set due date.

You can also click on the calendar icon to select a date.
- Enter a new date for the task completion.
Exporting a Task
Tasks can be exported from the task list and saved to your computer. Tasks may need to be exported to send to other users or for other reasons, as needed.

While connected to the Server, you cannot export a task that has been previously downloaded from the Server. |
- Open the Editor.
- Select .
- Select a task from the Task List.
- Click Export Task.
- Browse to specify a destination folder.
- Click OK.

Marking a Task Complete
Once you have finished a task you can mark it complete from the Editor.
- Open the Editor.
- Select View > Task List.
- Select a task from the Task List.
- Click Complete Task.
