Managing Your Editor Configuration Settings: Specifying and Bypassing Proxy Settings

If a proxy server is used on your network and authentication is required, you must specify the proxy settings from your browser. In addition, you must obtain the username and password for the proxy server and supply this information to the Editor.

  1. Open Chrome or Edge
  2. Click the Customize/Settings Menu in the browser toolbar.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. On the left-hand side of the screen, click System.
  5. Click Open your computer's proxy settings.
  6. In the Manual proxy setup - Use a proxy server section, click Set up.
  7. Enter the IP address of your proxy server in the Proxy IP Address field.
  8. Enter the port of the proxy server in the Port field.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Open the uPerform Editor.
  11. Select File > Preferences.
  12. Press Proxy Settings under Server.
  13. Perform one of the following:

    Bypass proxy settings

    Select Bypass default proxy settings from Internet Explorer.

    Specify proxy settings
    1. Select Proxy requires authentication.
    2. Enter a valid Username for the proxy server.
    3. Enter the Password for the proxy server.
  14. Press OK.
